CDL TRAINING SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS

While each CDL training school will have their own policies, procedures, and requirements, these are the common requirements for CDL Training Schools and ongoing CDL careers.

CDL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 to drive in state/21 to drive out of state
  • Acceptable driving record with valid driver’s license
  • Pass a DOT drug screen and non-DOT hair follicle test
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Read, write, and speak English
  • Pass a basic math test
  • Pass a criminal background check
